Oppo Find N5 – The World’s Thinnest Foldable, and It Outshines the Galaxy Z Fold 6

📅 Global Launch Set for February 20

Oppo has officially confirmed that the Find N5, the world’s thinnest book-style folding phone, will launch globally on February 20. As a long-time fan of its predecessor, the OnePlus Open (branded as the Oppo Find N3 in China), I couldn’t be more excited.

At an exclusive Oppo event, I got hands-on experience with the Find N5, and I must say—it’s a remarkable device. When folded, it genuinely feels like a traditional slab phone, setting a new standard for foldable design. The ultra-thin profile is immediately noticeable, making it a strong contender for our best Oppo phones list, and possibly even the best foldable phones, depending on availability.

The Another point is this :
DeepSeek Integration, may this is good or bad things on this series.

📸 Camera & Display Improvements

The Find N5 features a triple-camera setup on the rear panel. While it’s not exactly the lightest foldable, it doesn’t feel significantly heavier than most flagship smartphones.

One major improvement is the display crease. Even though the OnePlus Open had a barely noticeable crease, Oppo has taken it further, reducing both width and depth. Compared to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6, the Find N5’s crease is much flatter, enhancing the overall viewing experience.

📏 The World’s Thinnest Book-Style Foldable

Oppo claims the Find N5 is now the thinnest book-style foldable in the world, potentially surpassing the Honor Magic V3’s unfolded thickness of 4.4mm. While Oppo hasn’t revealed official specs yet, my hands-on experience confirms that it feels incredibly slim, pushing foldable phone design to new heights.

For reference, the Huawei Mate XT tri-fold phone measures 3.6mm when fully unfolded, but since it follows a different design philosophy, Oppo’s claim applies strictly to book-style foldables.

🎨 Colors & Design Details

The Find N5 will be available in two colors:
✔️ Black
✔️ White – featuring a reflective pearlescent pattern, similar to the Oppo Find X8 Pro.

In terms of buttons and layout, Oppo sticks to a familiar setup:

  • Right Side: Volume rocker & power button
  • Left Side: Ringer switch
  • When Folded: All buttons naturally align on the right side

🔄 OnePlus Open 2 Might Adopt This Design

It’s widely speculated that the upcoming OnePlus Open 2 will inherit the Find N5’s design, just like the original OnePlus Open was essentially a rebranded Oppo Find N3. Given that Oppo and OnePlus are both subsidiaries of BBK Electronics, this crossover in design and technology makes perfect sense.

🚀 Global Release – But Not in the U.S.

The Oppo Find N5 officially launches worldwide on February 20, though U.S. availability is highly unlikely, as is standard for Oppo devices. However, this global release hints that the OnePlus Open 2 might not be far behind for U.S. consumers.
