Cleer is enhancing its Arc series of open-ear earbuds with new gaming-centric features. The Cleer Arc II Gaming ($190) and Cleer Arc 3 Gaming ($235) are launching on February 4, available in black and white finishes.
Low-Latency Wireless for Gamers
The key upgrade in these gaming models is the inclusion of a USB-C wireless dongle, designed to deliver low-latency performance:
- Arc II Gaming: Latency under 60 milliseconds
- Arc 3 Gaming: Latency under 30 milliseconds
This makes them ideal for gaming and video playback, where low latency is critical. Both models are compatible with PS4, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch, while the Arc 3 Gaming also supports Meta Quest VR headsets.

Open-Ear Design: Comfort vs. Isolation
Unlike traditional gaming earbuds with silicone eartips, the Arc Gaming models maintain an open-ear design. This provides situational awareness in busy environments but also allows external noise to enter—something gamers will need to weigh against immersion. On the plus side, the design is less fatiguing during long play sessions.
High-Performance Audio & Features
Both models are equipped with:
- 16.2mm neodymium drivers
- aptX Lossless, aptX Adaptive, LDAC, AAC, and SBC codec support
- Qualcomm Snapdragon Sound & Bluetooth MultiPoint
- Touch controls & HD calling with aptX Voice
- 50Hz – 40kHz frequency response

The Cleer Arc 3 Gaming includes additional premium features:
- Dolby Atmos spatial audio with head tracking
- Smart charging case with a touch screen & wireless charging
- Built-in UV-C light for earbud sterilization
Battery Life & Durability
- Arc II Gaming: 8-hour battery life (27 hours with case), IPX5 water resistance
- Arc 3 Gaming: 10-hour battery life (40 hours with case), IPX7 water resistance
With competitive pricing and gaming-optimized features, Cleer aims to carve out a niche in the expanding market for open-ear gaming audio solutions.
