AMD’s RX 9070 XT next-gen Radeon will be revealed February 28

AMD’s Next-Gen GPU Finally Gets a Launch Date 🎮

After a somewhat cryptic tease at CES 2025, AMD is now set to officially unveil its latest Radeon RX 9070 XT graphics card. David McAfee, VP of Ryzen and Radeon, announced on X that the reveal will take place on February 28 at 8 AM Eastern, streamed live on the AMD Gaming YouTube channel.

A Delayed but Dedicated Launch for RDNA 4 🖥️

Initially expected at CES, AMD opted to delay the RX 9070 XT launch in favor of a dedicated event, allowing for a more comprehensive showcase of its next-gen RDNA 4 architecture. This decision may have also been influenced by Nvidia’s RTX 50-series reveal, which surprised the industry with lower-than-expected prices and the new Multi Frame Generation feature.

AI-Powered Graphics: AMD’s Answer to Nvidia’s DLSS 🧠

While details remain scarce, AMD has hinted that RDNA 4 will introduce significant advancements in AI-driven upscaling, aligning with industry trends where AI-enhanced graphics are replacing native rendering. FSR 4.0, AMD’s latest FidelityFX Super Resolution technology, is expected to leverage new AI cores to better compete with Nvidia’s DLSS. The company believes a March launch window will allow for final refinements to FSR 4.0 integrations.
