Apple TV users were briefly able to connect Netflix to the Apple TV app, sparking excitement. However, the celebration was short-lived—Apple has confirmed that this was just a bug and has since removed the integration.
Apple Confirms Netflix Integration Was Rolled Back
Apple told The Verge that the Netflix connection was never intended and was quickly rolled back. Some users had noticed odd behavior, such as missing seasons on Netflix shows, disappearing “Add to Watchlist” buttons, and incomplete Continue Watching support. This led many to believe that the rollout was still in progress—until Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman clarified that it was likely a mistake

Some users are seeing Netflix integration in the Apple TV app — after an 8 year hold out. But @Lucas_Shaw and I hear this is probably some sort of bug and there doesn’t appear to be a deal in place. It would be odd for Netflix to finally give in here.
